Cars play an important role in this body of work and throughout the archive they are used in the composition of the shots that document the family journeys in the UK and Europe. In the initial research they were an important clue to the origins of the work. I contacted the DVLA and other registration archives which placed the photographer in the Leeds, Taunton, and Edinburgh areas throughout the sixties and seventies.
