28 Silverknowes caused immense excitement when the series was first found. It was the first real positive clue. I typed the address into Google and Silverknowes came out as an area of Edinburgh. I checked the history of the housing estate on the road and it matched with my series of slides. Could the family still own the house? I wrote to that address but had no reply, so I ran a credit check on the house to find two other families living at that address. I rang local family business on the road to see if anyone remembered the Youngs but to no avail. I contacted the local photographic societies but again without result. Finally I contacted the Local Government regarding the electoral roll for the years the family may have been at that address. The records are there and I shall make the journey to Edinburgh to find more information.
